Client Objective

The OMSI Gala brings together community leaders, corporate partners, and supporters for an evening focused on expanding access to science, technology, engineering, art, and math education.

For the 2026 gala inside OMSI’s Turbine Hall, the production needed to support a full dinner program with live presenters, fundraising moments, and inspiring video content. The challenge was making this look and sound great inside the space, which is a large concrete industrial hall on the OMSI campus.

Every guest needed a clear view and consistent audio, whether they were seated near the stage or across the room. The system also needed to fit naturally into the venue without pulling attention away from the purpose of the evening – to raise money for a worthy cause.

Benefits and Results

MeyerPro supported the gala with projection, cameras, broadcast switching, wireless microphones, and the right infrastructure needed to connect everything together in an elegant way.

Four Barco i600 15,000-lumen projectors delivered content and live camera coverage across four 7-by-14-foot Stumpfl screens positioned throughout Turbine Hall. Four Panasonic AW-UE150 4K PTZ cameras helped keep presenters and fundraising moments visible from every part of the room.

A Blackmagic flypack managed the live video workflow, while AJA recording and fiber systems supported signal distribution and capture. The audio package combined NEXO loudspeakers, Yamaha DM7 control, and Shure Axient Digital wireless to provide clear, dependable sound for speakers, entertainment, and the live appeal.

Clear-Com FreeSpeak wireless intercom kept the production team connected as the program moved between presentations, video, live cameras, and fundraising cues.

The result was a polished evening where the technology supported the story without pulling attention away from it. The gala raised $1.2 million to help OMSI continue inspiring curiosity and expanding STEAM education across the region.
